Freeze-dried treats are unlike ordinary lollies, ice cream and desserts. Their light, crunchy texture is part of what makes them so much fun, but it also means every product and every batch can be a little different.

Here are a few important things to know before placing your order.

Every Batch Is Unique

Freeze-drying is a natural process, and results can vary between batches. Even when we use the same original product and process, some pieces may expand more, remain smaller, change shape or develop a slightly different texture.

Differences in the original product’s size, moisture and ingredients can all affect how it transforms inside the freeze dryer. These natural variations are completely normal and are part of what makes freeze-dried treats unique.

Size, Shape and Appearance May Vary

Product photos are provided as a guide. We do our best to show our treats as accurately as possible, but the size, shape, colour, puffing and texture of the products you receive may vary slightly from the photos.

Some treats expand dramatically during freeze-drying, while others change very little. Products that puff significantly may be very large, meaning only one or a few pieces will fit inside the pouch. The number and size of pieces can vary, but products are packed according to the approximate weight or quantity stated on the product page.

Freeze-Dried Treats Are Fragile

Removing moisture creates the light and crunchy texture freeze-dried treats are known for, but it also makes them naturally fragile.

We carefully prepare and package every order to protect your treats during delivery. However, a small amount of cracking, crumbling or breakage can sometimes occur while your parcel is travelling through the postal system.

Freeze-dried ice cream, cheesecake and other delicate desserts are especially fragile. Although they may not always arrive in perfect pieces, the broken pieces and crumbs are still just as delicious!

Keep Your Treats Dry

Moisture is the biggest enemy of freeze-dried food. Exposure to air and humidity can cause products to lose their crunch and become soft or sticky.

Keep your treats in their original resealable pouch, press out any excess air and seal the pouch tightly after opening. Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.

Heat-Sensitive Products

Products containing chocolate may soften or melt during warmer weather. We package all orders carefully, but we cannot control the temperature your parcel may experience once it enters the postal network.

We recommend collecting your parcel promptly and storing heat-sensitive products in a cool, dry place after delivery.

Ingredients and Allergens

Freeze-drying changes the texture of a product but does not remove its original ingredients or allergens.

Ingredient and allergen information is listed on each product page. Some products may contain or have come into contact with milk, soy, wheat, gluten, nuts and other allergens. Our products are prepared in a facility that handles nuts and may contain traces.

We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. Please review the product information carefully before ordering, particularly if you or the recipient has a food allergy.

Small-Batch Availability

Our products are prepared in small batches to help maintain quality and freshness. Popular products and limited-edition treats can sell out quickly, and some products may take a little longer to restock.

If Something Isn’t Right

While some natural variation and minor breakage are expected with freeze-dried products, we still want you to be happy with your order.

If you receive an incorrect product or believe something has gone wrong with your order, please contact us as soon as possible with your order number and clear photos of the products and packaging. We’ll review the issue and work with you to find an appropriate solution.
