What are freeze-dried treats?

Freeze-drying removes moisture from food while preserving its flavour. This transforms familiar lollies, fruit, ice cream and desserts into light, crunchy treats with an intensified burst of flavour.

How are your products freeze-dried?

Products are frozen to approximately –45°C before being placed under vacuum. The frozen moisture changes directly into vapour through a process called sublimation. Depending on the product, the process can take anywhere from 5 to more than 30 hours.

Do you add chemicals or preservatives?

We do not add any chemicals or preservatives during the freeze-drying process. Products still contain their original ingredients, including any additives already present in the original product. Full ingredient information is available on each product page.

Why does my product look different from the website photo?

Freeze-dried products naturally vary in size, shape, colour and texture. Some pieces puff considerably, while others may crack or change shape. These differences are a normal part of the freeze-drying process and do not affect the flavour or quality.

Are freeze-dried products fragile?

Yes. Freeze-dried treats are naturally light, crunchy and fragile. We carefully package every order, but some breakage or crumbling may occur during delivery. Ice cream products are especially delicate, although broken pieces taste just as delicious!

Is your freeze-dried ice cream made from real ice cream?

Yes! We use real ice cream and freeze-dry it to remove the moisture. This creates a light, crunchy treat with all the delicious flavour of ice cream—no freezer required!

How should I store my freeze-dried treats?

Keep your treats sealed in their original resealable pouch and store them in a cool, dry place away from heat, sunlight and moisture. Always reseal the pouch tightly after opening.

How long do freeze-dried treats last?

Unopened products generally have a best-before period of approximately 12 months. Always check the best-before date printed on your pouch. Once opened, we recommend enjoying your treats within two to three months, provided the pouch is tightly resealed and kept dry.

Does freeze-drying change the nutritional content?

Freeze-drying removes moisture while preserving much of the product’s original flavour and nutritional content. Lollies and confectionery should still be enjoyed as an occasional treat.

Where can I find ingredient and allergen information?

Ingredients and allergen information are listed on each product page. Some products may contain or have come into contact with milk, soy, wheat, gluten, nuts and other allergens. Please review the product information carefully before ordering.

Why does the amount in each pouch vary?

Freeze-dried products expand differently depending on the lolly, ice cream or dessert. Products are packed according to the approximate weight or quantity shown on the product page, so the number and size of pieces may vary between pouches.

Do you have a physical shop?

Freeze Dried Sydney is currently an online store. Any available collection options will be displayed during checkout.

How quickly will my order be dispatched?

We aim to dispatch orders at 9:00 am Monday to Friday . Orders placed before our daily cut-off 5pm will usually be shipped during the next dispatch period via Australia Post. During busy periods, dispatch times may occasionally vary.

Will I receive tracking information?

Yes. Once your order has been packed and lodged with Australia Post, you’ll receive an email containing your tracking details.

Do you deliver throughout Australia?

Yes! We deliver our freeze-dried treats Australia-wide using Australia Post.

What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?

Please contact us as soon as possible with your order number and clear photos of the products and packaging. We’ll review the issue and work with you to find an appropriate solution.

Why are some products frequently sold out?

We prepare our products in small batches to maintain quality and freshness. Popular and limited-edition products can sell out quickly, but we regularly restock customer favourites.

Do you offer wholesale orders?

Do you ship internationally?
